Featured Theft Recovery - Motorcycle
On June 5, 2026, a customer’s 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle was brazenly stolen from a gated high-rise
residence in Atlanta, Georgia. The motorcycle had been secured in the bed of the owner’s truck at the time of
the theft. According to the customer, who immediately notified the FIN Theft & Recovery Team, the suspects first
attempted to steal the truck itself. When those efforts proved unsuccessful, they turned their attention to the
Kawasaki, removing it from the truck bed before fleeing the scene. Despite the theft, the motorcycle remained
within a relatively short distance of its original location.
Because the motorcycle had been stored for several months prior to the incident, the FIN backup battery was
fully depleted at the time of the theft. Even so, the FIN system demonstrated its reliability and resilience. On June
7, 2026, after the thieves operated the motorcycle, the unit recharged and successfully reestablished
communication with the FIN network.
As soon as the device reconnected and began transmitting valuable location data, the FIN Theft & Recovery

cellular technology, the team immediately began monitoring the motorcycle’s movements. Working closely with
the customer, they relayed real-time location information to the Atlanta Police Department, ultimately leading to
the safe recovery of the Kawasaki just days after it was stolen.
