Featured Theft Recovery - Personal Watercraft
Dania Beach, Florida – 07/17/2025 – In the early hours of July 17th, 2025, two 2021 Yamaha personal watercraft (PWC) were stolen from a customer’s residence, despite being secured behind a fenced yard and obstructed by parked vehicles. The theft occurred around 4:00 AM, and the customer discovered the incident and reported it to the FIN Theft Recovery Team at 7:17 AM.
Although the thieves attempted to disable the FIN tracking devices by cutting the wiring harnesses, both units continued to transmit precise location data for several hours thanks to FIN’s onboard backup battery system and advanced cellular/satellite tracking technology. Using the FIN-MAN® app, the customer was able to share live location updates directly with law enforcement. Police responded swiftly, and with the customer present on-site, both jet skis were successfully recovered shortly after.
This recovery highlights the reliability and resilience of FIN technology, even when disconnected from external power, FIN continues working in the moments that matter most.
