Ft. Lauderdale, FL – After placing his motorcycle for sale on Craigslist, a Ft. Lauderdale man found himself in a precarious situation after meeting with a potential buyer. Meeting at a local bank, he allowed the interested party to sit on his 2015 Yamaha R1 and hear the engine. During their conversation, the thief abruptly put the motorcycle in gear and sped away.

After communicating with local police, the customer arrived at a parking garage to find the motorcycle covered with a tarp. Police arrived, who not only recovered the stolen FIN®-protected Yamaha, but also 2 additional stolen motorcycles, both with ignition damage. Thankfully, with the speed of locating and recovering the Yamaha, there was no damage to it.
