Featured Theft Recovery - Sport Motorcycles
North Bethesda, Maryland – July 9, 2026 – A customer awoke to discover their 2026 Yamaha YZF-R9 had been stolen from their residence during the early morning hours. After immediately reporting the theft, the customer contacted FIN® Theft & Recovery, allowing the team to begin tracking the motorcycle's movements.
The stolen Yamaha traveled a short distance from North Bethesda to South Laurel, Maryland, where it was ultimately located inside a public storage facility situated behind a local elementary school. Utilizing advanced satellite and cellular technology, FIN® was able to maintain reliable communication with the vehicle and provide critical location information throughout the recovery process.
Through the FIN-MAN mobile application, tracking events and important updates were made available to both the customer and the FIN® Theft & Recovery team, helping provide valuable insight into the vehicle's location and movement.
As law enforcement worked to secure a search warrant, access to the storage unit remained restricted for several days. During that time, the suspects returned to the facility and noticed additional locks had been placed on the unit. Authorities were notified immediately, but the individuals fled the scene before officers could apprehend them. While no arrests were made, the motorcycle was recovered safely and without further incident.
